From a manufacturing perspective, the production of metal keychains involves multiple stages. First, in the design phase, designers create two-dimensional or three-dimensional drawings of the keychain based on market demand and aesthetic trends, determining its shape, size, and detailed features. Next comes the mold-making stage. The precision of the mold directly affects the quality of the finished keychain; high-precision molds are typically created using CNC machining or 3D printing technology. Then comes die casting or stamping, where metal raw materials are injected into the mold under high temperature and pressure to form the basic shape of the keychain. After forming, the keychain undergoes surface treatment processes such as polishing, electroplating, and painting to enhance its gloss, wear resistance, and aesthetics. For example, electroplating forms a protective film on the keychain surface to prevent oxidation and discoloration; painting allows for various color effects to meet the preferences of different consumers.
