Step 1: Design and Mold Making

The whole production starts with pattern design. According to custom logos, texts, patterns and shapes, designers draw precise production drafts. After confirming the details, professional steel molds are carved and polished. The finished mold determines the clarity, three-dimensional effect and overall shape of the medal, which is the most critical step for fine details.

Step 2: Metal Stamping and Shaping

Common medal materials include zinc alloy, iron and brass. The metal sheet is fixed on the stamping machine, and the pre-made mold is used for high-pressure stamping. After stamping, the medal takes shape with raised logos, characters and embossed textures. Workers will trim the edges to remove burrs and make the whole medal smooth and neat.

Step 3: Polishing and Plating

To improve texture and gloss, all semi-finished medals are fully polished. The polishing process removes rough spots and makes the metal surface delicate. Then the medals are electroplated with different colors, including gold, silver, bronze, black nickel and matte finishes. Plating effectively prevents oxidation and rusting, while enhancing the premium metallic texture.

Step 4: Color Filling and Refinement

According to the design requirements, colorful enamel or paint is filled into the concave areas of the medal. After color filling, the medals are baked and fixed to make the color bright, uniform and not easy to fade. For high-end medals, hard enamel polishing and surface protective coating will be added to achieve a flat and glossy finish.

Step 5: Accessories Assembly and Quality Inspection

After the surface craft is completed, matching accessories are installed, including medal ribbons, hanging buckles and safety pins. Every finished medal will go through strict manual inspection. Workers check for unclear patterns, uneven coloring, rough edges and plating flaws to ensure each product meets the standard quality.

Step 6: Cleaning and Packaging

Qualified medals are cleaned and dried to remove surface dust and stains. Finally, they are packed with protective bags and cartons to avoid scratches and extrusion damage during transportation, ready for delivery and use in various events and awards ceremonies.
